What’s great about GetResponse’s templates is that you can easily edit them to suit your business. To do this you need to choose the “Create Newsletter” feature from your dashboard.
Once you have your template, you can edit it by HTML, which requires some background knowledge about coding. However, if you have no idea about coding, GetResponse has got you covered with an excellent drag and drop email editor.
As always, the editor is pretty efficient and easy to use. from that point, you can turn your template into anything you want, sky’s the limit!
For example, you can change the colors of the template. Also, you can resize some elements or add new ones with the drag and drop feature.
The templates look professional and clean. However, some of them look a bit outdated compared to Aweber’s templates.
If you’re using an old version of GetResponse, you’ll notice that fonts are restricted to the web-safe fonts, such as Arial and Times New Roman.

The choice of a winner here is a matter of taste. However, I think that Aweber has got this one better than GetResponse.
It has a larger range of templates to choose from. The templates are modern and more attractive to the eye.
Additionally, some rare GetResponse’s templates have display problems in the Gmail mobile app. However, Getresponse is working on fixing this issue as soon as possible.
On the flip side, if you’re more about using special fonts, you’ll probably pick GetResponse as the winner.

What’s noticeable is that Aweber isn’t as comprehensive as GetResponse when it comes to autoresponders.
It’s clear that GetResponse has a better overall autoresponder. While both have great basic functionality in their autoresponders, you can get a lot more if you opt for GetResponse.
GetResponse creates an entire sales funnel based on your autoresponder. Even better, you get to adjust and control all aspects of that extra feature!
Split testing or A/B testing is essential for the optimization of your performance. As you already know, a small change in your email approach can affect your conversion rate significantly.
Not only does GetResponse allow it, but it also gives you the option to test up to 5 different email versions.

It goes without saying that any successful business must put every dollar in good use. That’s why it’s important to check the pricing and plans in each one of them. Let’s have a quick rundown on each of the services plans and see what they have to offer.
GetResponse has 4 different plans depending on the number of subscribers you have. It offers a good range of features in most of these plans.
Additionally, you get a nice discount if you pay yearly (up to 18% off) or every 24 months ( up to 30% off).
The most simple plan GetResponse offers is the “Basic” plan. This one starts at $15 a month for about 1,000 subscribers and goes all the way to $450 per month for 100,000 subscribers.
With the basic plan, you’ll get unlimited emails to the number of subscribers you have in your package. Additionally, you’ll enjoy a wide variety of features in the package. These features include email marketing, autoresponders, one sale funnel Facebook ads, and others.
The higher tier plan is the “Plus” plan. This one comes at $49 a month for 1,000 subscribers and $499 for 100,000 ones. This plan gives you everything you’re going to have in “Basic”. However, you’ll also enjoy up to 5 sales funnels, contact tagging, and webinars for 100 attendees with 5 funnels.
At $99 a month, you can enjoy the “Professional” plan for 1,000 subscribers. It goes up to $580 for 100,000 subscribers.
The plan offers the added perks of an unlimited automation builder, webinars (up to 300 attendees and unlimited funnels of all kinds.
The “Enterprise” plan is the company’s highest-end plan. It features everything that GetResponse has to offer. This includes a dedicated IP address and an account manager.
You can customize the plan as you want with GetResponse’s customer services representative. Currently, it lists the price as, “custom pricing”. However, it used to list a “1,199 a month” price for it.
As for non-profit organizations, GetResponses can offer up to 50% discounts, which is a classy gesture from the company. You’ll need to contact the sales team in GetResponse for that too.
The Company also offers a 30-day free trial, so you can test out the platform itself. All you need to do is sign up without adding your credit card! In that trial, you can enjoy almost all the features it offers, including analytics and split testing.
Aweber doesn’t have specific names for its plans. However, it names them according to the amount of subscribers you have.
This isn’t the only thing that Aweber had differently. Unlike GetResponse, Aweber gives you access to all the features no matter how basic your plan is. Instead, you only upgrade your plan if you need it to cover more subscribers, which is a win-win!

Another good thing about Aweber’s plans is that you don’t have to worry about long-term contracts. Not only can you upgrade whenever the list exceeds your plan, but you’re allowed to downgrade whenever you want!
You should also know that Aweber offers a 30-day trial as GetResponse does. Similarly, you’ll enjoy all a lot of features and support as if you already signed up.
Pricing and Plans Verdict
As you can see, both systems have different ways in managing their plans and pricing. Although I prefer the way Aweber sorts out its plans, GetResponse seems more cost-effective and better overall.
First of all, the Basic plan in GetResponse costs less for the same 1,000 subscribers. Additionally, you can even save up to 30% more money if you pay for 24 months.
The only downside to GetResponse’s plan is the lack of some features when compared to Aweber. For that reason, if you’re looking for a basic plan that gives you the maximum control and features, Aweber is a better option for you.
As you can see, both platforms have their pros and cons. However, GetResponse topped Aweber in multiple rounds. It’s a great value of money coupled with a lot of excellent features, such as autoresponders and email marketing funnels.
